John Foster founded Derwent Dental Laboratory in 1986. Originally he specialised in prosthetics but has developed through John’s own further education to what it is today, an all services technical dental laboratory producing premium quality work. Johns own CV is comprehensive and growing as he studies with master technicians such as Dierk Brammann and Jurgen Braunwarth. He has only recently returned from Bad Sackingen in Germany where he was studying Advanced Ceramics with Alexander DuGrat.

The laboratory has been in Gateshead since 1994 and the current building has been owned and developed into one of the best equipped in its field.

John’s team consists of 8 full time colleagues of which 5 are fully qualified dental technicians. A driver delivers the work locally and the rest of the country is serviced by post or special courier when required.

John now lectures in the UK and supports Implant courses throughout the UK as far as Jersey with technical instruction for dentists who are experienced or novices in the Implant field.
